Consumer Lawyer Nicholas P. Slade

Nick Slade is a licensed attorney admitted to practice in the State of Minnesota and a partner in Barry & Slade, LLC. His practice focuses exclusively on protecting consumers’ rights.  In 1996, Nick graduated from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul Minnesota. snipingDuring law school, he worked as a student certified attorney with the Ramsey County Public Defenders Office. After graduation Nick continued to work with the Public Defenders Office until opening his own law practice in 1997. Originally practicing criminal defense, Slade transitioned to consumer rights in 2000.

Nick was born in Minneapolis in 1962 and has spent nearly all his life here.  Except for honorably serving 3 years on active duty with the U.S. Army, Nick has lived in the Twin Cities. He currently lives in St. Louis Park, with his wife and 2 children.

Nick has been on the Board of Directors for the Franconia Sculpture Park in Shafer, Minnesota since 1997. He also volunteered as a wrestling coach for kids ages 6-14 since 1985, throught he Minneapolis Park Board.

Nick's philosphy is simple: If you want peace, work for justice.  He has deployed his wit, intellect, and skillful litigation style into an amazing consumer law practice which has served not just his clients, but also the citizens of Minnesota.  With consumer law cases ranging from wrongful repossessions to mortgage fraud, from banking malfeasance to car dealer ripoffs, Nick brings a fresh perspctive and a can-do attitude to consumer law cases that other lawyers pass up.  Around the office, he is known for his fiercely independent legal analysis and his dogged determination to help the least, with the most.
