Year By National Association of Consumer Advocates

October 28, 2005
- Pete Barry addresses the National Association of Consumer
Advocates during his award acceptance speech at the Hyatt-Regency
Hotel in Minneapolis.
Attorney Pete Barry
was named the 2005 Consumer Lawyer of the Year by the National
Association of Consumer Advocates (NACA) at the organization's
national conference held in Minneapolis on October 28, 2005.
NACA's Executive Director Ira Rheingold cited Pete's extensive
involvement in training consumer attorneys nationwide, as well his
involvement in helping to develop an annual Fair Debt Collection
Practices Act conference in giving him Pete the prestigious award.
Michigan Attorney Ian Lyngklip introduced him to a rousing
reception by consumer lawyers from all over the United States.
Pete accepted the award with humility, and called on all consumer
lawyers to first do what it right for their clients, and by doing
so, to do what is right for themselves. More information about
NACA can be found at
