Barry Appears on NBC Nightly News

- Consumer rights lawyer Pete Barry appeared in and worked
extensively on an abusive debt collection story for the NBC
Nightly News with Brian Williams. Barry provided tape recorded
collection abuse calls as well as appearing in the main body of
the story describing collection abuse. Watch the story to see a
collection industry representative as she unabashedly describes
all of the "thank you notes" debt collectors receive every

Slade Goes to Battle for Our
Soldiers

Our attorney Nick Slade recently appeared on the 6 o'clock evening
news to comment on his soldier/client's legal battle with Ford
Motor Credit and a local collection firm. It is alleged that Ford
through their attorneys illegally served a lawsuit against this
National Guardsman on active duty fighting for our country in
Iraq, and then later improperly obtained a default judgment
against him. Ford has since returned all of the combat pay it
improperly took from the soldier.
